Indiana University wanted to expand and renovation its historic football stadium at its Bloomington campus. They required 3 brand new elevators, 2 cabled elevators and one hydraulic elevator. The renovations had to be complete by the start of football season in the Fall.
Our Solution
Working on a strict deadline, Murphy worked closely with the General Contractor to complete the project on time. The 2 traction elevators have 6 stops and run at 350 fpm with a capacity of 4500 pounds. These elevators serve the brand new north end of the stadium, which houses the Henke Hall of Champions and a panoramic balcony overlooking the football field. The hydraulic elevator serves 3 landings and works in a service capacity and can haul up to 5000 pounds. The entire project was completed in 8 months, and was finished in 2009.
